Little Private Experience in Current Administration

(From an email from my cousin Jerry Ding)

This Is No Surprise (and Explains a Lot)

The percentage of each past president’s cabinet who had worked in the private business sector prior to their appointment to the cabinet:

  • T. Roosevelt………………. 38%
  • Taft…………………………. 40%
  • Wilson…………………….. 52%
  • Harding…………………….. 49%
  • Coolidge………………….. 48%
  • Hoover ……………………. 42%
  • F. Roosevelt……………….50%
  • Truman……………………. 50%
  • Johnson…………………… 47%
  • Nixon………………………. 53%
  • Ford……………………….. 42%
  • Carter……………………… 32%
  • Reagan……………………..86%
  • GH Bush………………….. 51%
  • Clinton ……………………. 39%
  • GW Bush…………………. 55%

And the winner is:

  • Obama………………. 8%

This helps to explain the incompetence of this administration: Only 8% of them have ever worked in a job not supported by tax money!

That’s right! Only eight percent—the least, by far, of the last 19 presidents! And these people are trying to tell our companies how to run their business? They know what’s best for GM, Chrysler, Wall Street, and you and me?

How can the president of a major nation and society, the country with the most successful economic system in world history, how can he stand and talk about business when he’s never worked for one? Or about jobs when he has never really had one? And when it’s the same for 92% of his senior staff and closest advisers? They’ve spent most of their time in academia, government and/or non-profit jobs or as “community organizers.” They should have been in an employment line.

Finally, notice that one of the greatest economic recoveries in our nation’s history occurred under President Reagan who just happened to have had the highest percentage of cabinet members who had worked in the private business sector prior to their appointment to his cabinet.

Pass this on! We’ll NEVER see these facts in the main stream media.

  1. It is surprising that Obama won the elections with a cabinet of 8%. I do agree with the fact that he is not qualified enough to run the country and effectively solve national issues. Obama is not the problem if unstable economic situation in the US but he does help the de-evolvement of the American society.

  2. These numbers are concerning, President Barrack Obama should have surrounded himself with more people who were experienced in the business sector, I hope the next president does because our economy needs it.

  3. I dont think someone should run the country if they have no idea what there doing. 8% is pretty ridiculous considering what the past presidents have done.

  4. First of all, I question the sources of these numbers. I can’t make my opinion based on some random numbers. Also, it is hard to make a correlation between the numbers with the success rate of a president because there are just too many factors that can decide a president’s progress.

  5. It is crazy that the numbers are so low. I bet no one would ever think that right now thw cabniet is only at 8 %. That is crazy. They are not very qualified if you ask me.

  6. Wow ! That is ridiculous! I can’t believe that the people let Obama as president when he only had 8% of his cabinet in there. People should really do more research before they vote for someone.

  7. I agree the Obama administration is not qualifed at all to be dealing with our country and its problems. They have no idea what they are doing! The next election can’t come any sooner!

  8. This is why economy is bad huh? Now I got an idea and have more understanding why America is going thorough bad economy. I hope next president is not like Obama.

  9. This explains why our economy is so bad. Obama said he would fix it and four years later here we are in a deeper hole than before.

  10. I think that it is extremely unfortunate that Obama’s administration is so under-qualified in this respect. This could most likely be one of the reasons that out economy is suffering at this time. However, I do not believe it to be the only reason.

  11. This is not surprising in one bit…that is how American has been ran isnce God knows when. That is why our economy looks the way that it does…sad.

  12. It really comes as no surprise to me. What has been most notable to me is the lack of leadership principles and traits that are necessary to govern. Governing is no different in corporate America. It is the same in life and taken in the proper context some if not all of Machiavelli’s principles are necessary at one time or another when leading.

  13. this is stupid because not only do we have a bad economy but we also need a president that knows what he is doing and not one that is popular.

  14. All I have to say is a man with the least experience won the election and continues to surround himself with people who have no experience. Obama is not only new to being a president, he is new to being a member of Congress too. This is why we are having the problem we have in our country.

  15. It is really sad to see that the people currently running our country have no business experience. I really fear for the future of this country.

  16. When you read statistic like this it really makes you have less faith in the government and really dislike politics.

  17. we need to start having requirements for presidents. first of all, you need to know about the economy. why is he still around?! this is frustrating.

  18. I don’t you the word hate, so therefore, I strongly dislike politic and the people in it! Our economy is slowing becoming worthless, with less and less. But don’t worry, everyone up on their high horse in Washington, please, don’t give up some of what you have ($) and help the citizens. That’s asking too much.

  19. This is riduculous honestly. A president who does not know anything and is trying to fix our economy and trying to tell us about/ how does that even work out? is it even possible??

  20. It is funny when you start to understand the core issues everything becomes simple. Unfortunately people believe the smoke and mirrors and fail to see through the empty promises of those unable to deliver and persecute the person that brings up work.

  21. I am completely shocked. It amazes me how all the other presidents were fine and had no problem with the economy when they were president, but since Obama is new at being president, he doesn’t know what to do when things go wrong or how to fix it.

  22. wow no wonder our economy is so bad. When someone who has no clue about something and is trying to tell us all about it.
